A Message From the CEO & Publisher

BSTM is Now Free!

In order to accomplish our mission of ensuring that BSTM is available to all readers nationally and globally, who are interested in knowing about the untold sports accomplishments of minority athletes of today and the past, we have moved from a hard copy magazine to a digital (on-line) magazine.  Our first digital issue went on-line December 2005.  Sports enthusiasts can now read BSTM on their computer, free of charge, by subscribing for the monthly issues or by clicking on the current cover on this home page.  BSTM will be downloadable for those who want to print a hard copy.  You can also send the linkage to BSTM to family members, friends, and associates for their reading enjoyment.

As you know, we  chose the abbreviation BSTM to replace our magazine’s original name (“Black Sports The Magazine” ).”

This monthly magazine continues to examine the achievements of minority athletes, sports issues of noteworthiness, historical sports’ information, HBCUs’ major conferences athletic teams, and other areas of sports impacting the minority community.  As a result, our magazine provides a balance of professional, amateur, college, and high school sports nationally and globally.

  • Past issues have included stories about:
      · the NBA, WNBA, Golf, MLB, NFL, the Negro Baseball League, etc.;
      · Pioneers in Motor Sports, Horse Racing, Boxing, Sailing, etc.; and
      · the MEAC, CIAA, SWAC and SIAC conferences’ and other HBCUs’ sports, HBCU Sports Legends, and more!

Did you know that Bill Pinkney was the 1st African-American to sail around the world? Or that Shani Davis has the potential to be the world’s next greatest speed skater?  Get these articles and other accomplishments of minority athletes in BSTM.
