ABOUT US

Why should customers subscribe to Black Sports The Magazine? Of all the magazines that specifically reflect the culture, history, etc., of people of color, e.g., Black Enterprise (business), Essence (social & health), Ebony (politics, social, & health), and Jet (social), none concentrate solely on sports. Sports news is not a staple of these magazines. BSTM fills this void. This magazine will cover people of color's involvement and accomplishments in sports, e.g., not just basketball or football. BSTM will cover all sports having their involvement. It will also provide a quality product to its readers.

BSTM is wholly owned by Black Sports The Magazine, LLC. Melvin Wm. Bell is the company's CEO and President.

Coverage of sports of the Historical Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) conferences will be one of the centerpieces of the magazine. HBCUs have thousands and thousands of graduates (and their family, friends and associates) from all fifty states and around the world, e.g., Africa, the Caribbean, etc. Also, the four major HBCU conferences will be featured: the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, the Southwestern Athletic Conference, and the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association. Universities and Colleges from these conferences continually rank in the national polls in all Division II-A sports.

Although BSTM will cover all sports, another centerpiece will be coverage of historical accomplishments of people of color in all sports. This area of coverage promises to be informative, educational, and entertaining to all readers.

STM will offer an online abbreviated version (table of contents) of each month's publication to its subscribers and non-subscribers to read.
